HOLLYWOOD ADVENTURES Takes A Tumble In The Explosive Final Trailer!

All things considered, director Timothy Kendall's latest road romp with Fast And Furious helmer, producer Justin Lin, Hollywood Adventures, seems like nothing short of a love letter to American cinema written bilingually. Actress Vicky Zhao Wei and actors Huang Xiaoming and Tong Dawei are front and center with a short array of celebrities and guest stars, with actor Sung Kang channeling his best cornrowed Hangover-style villain, and yes, that's Robert Patrick in uniform - No sharp liquid metal arms though, but he does wear the uniform well.

SYNOPSIS:

When the girl of his dreams breaks up with him, Xiaoming (Huang Xiao Ming), a mild-mannered car salesman from China, buys Hollywood Adventure, the last available package tour from a shady travel website, so he can get to Los Angeles to win back his girlfriend. Along the way he’s paired up with a loony, cinema-crazed tourist named Dawei (Tong Dawei) and a slippery but hot Hollywood tour guide, WeiWei (Zhao Wei), whose scam finds her caught between a rock and a rhino horn - literally. When Xiaoming’s search for his girlfriend suddenly transforms into a rambunctious action comedy of errors across Hollywood, the quarrelsome partners Xiaoming and WeiWei finally discover what’s really important in life.

All this and more with fast cars, Superman punches to the face, Dawei in drag, and, at the behest of Stephen Tobolowsky, explosions. Because Hollywood, and why not?

Anything for a girl, it seems...Such it is for actor Huang Xiaoming's latest role as a man searching for his true love in Timothy Kendall's directorial debut, Hollywood Adventures. But will it be worth it to have to dodge all those damn bullets, near-death car accidents, disco balls to the dick and rattlesnakes? Personally I'd rather keep my balls in one piece, thank you very much.

SYNOPSIS:

Justin Lin produced the film under his Perfect Storm Entertainment banner with Troy Craig Poon, in the company of producers Anne Clements and John Pierson. Enlight Pictures is releasing the film in China on June 26 while IM Global has since snagged the rights for the film outside North America and Southeast Asia.

Chinese Language U.S. Action Comedy, HOLLYWOOD ADVENTURES Scores An Explosive Teaser!

Many films and television shows in recent memory are further continuing to exemplify the growing proximity between respective industries in Hollywood and China. Such is the case for the on-going partnership of Beijing-based Perfect Storm Entertainment's own, producer and Fast & Furious franchise helmer Justin Lin and Chinese media mogul Bruno Wu with one of their most recent crossover endeavors heading to Mainland cinemas this June.

I speak of Hollywood Adventures, the latest romantic road action comedy romp from debut director Timothy Kendall and the largest Chinese-language production to film primarily in Southern California. Leading lady Vicky Zhao and actors, The White-Haired Witch star Huang Xiaoming and Badges Of Fury co-star Tong Dawei headline the sprawling cast with a story centered on a man desperately searching for his sweetheart in the heart of Hollywood. This, all while crossing paths with an array of colorful characters to enhance the challenging danger along the way as one might expect, including co-star Stephen Tobolowsky who likes his explosions done right. Dammit.

Anyway, Hollywood Adventures looks like a great package for moviegoers between its shared home in the U.S. and China. Lin's name alone is an assurance of just what fans can expect with tons of comedy, action and spectacle with stunt sequences coordinated by Mike Gunther (Transformers: Age Of Extinction, Sabotage) on hand. Asian Movie Madness Continues With THE WHITE-HAIRED WITCH At Violet Crown Cinema This Month!

Texas is a great place to be as it has become home to a great many events in film and entertainment, especially if you live in the city of Austin where Well Go USA is currently running its monthly Asian Movie Madness schedule at Violet Crown Cinema in conjunction with Iron Dragon TV. As such, Well Go USA's North American current release of Jacob Cheung's latest rebooted fantasy action romance epic, The White-Haired Witch, reinvigorating the classic tale of forbidden romance amid conspiracy, murder and intrigue, coupled with dazzling visuals and stunning action, will be representing Iron Dragon TV and UltraFlix on March 24 at 9:00pm.

In the twilight of the Ming Dynasty, the Imperial court is plagued by corruption as tyrants rule over the land. With the Manchurians preying on a weakened empire, war is imminent. To save the victims from their suffering, sorceress Jade Raksha fights the soldiers that oppress people for their own gain. As payback, local government officials decide to pin the murder of Governor Zhuo Zhonglian on Jade, turning her and the members of her cult into wanted fugitives for a crime they didn’t commit.

Actress Fan BingBing and actor Huang Xiaoming lead the cast of the film which is also being made available soon in the Iron Dragon TV line-up which can now be viewed on the 4K movie network, UltraFlix. Iron Dragon TV launched late last month with the impressive momentum of the current evolution of 4K technology for streaming quality movies in the good company of Well Go USA's own theatrical and home platform rollout of titles coming into the new year, which has been a great sign of progress for Asian cinema and its patrons.

THE WHITE-HAIRED WITCH Gets A Trailer And US Release Date

2014 proved to be a notable continuance of milestone achievements in visually stunning filmmaking. Amplifying much of its ventures into 3D territory with director Jacob Cheung's The White Haired Witch serving as a credible example of these endeavors.

The film itself revisits the classic stories adapted in 1993 films starring Bridgette Lin in the title role, now with actress Fan Bingbing taking the helm.
