Vin Diesel Transcends Through Time And Fearlessness In The New Trailer For THE LAST WITCH HUNTER!

It's been a big year for actor Vin Diesel whose latest, Furious Seven, helped put a huge stamp of approval in numbers for Universal. In the next few months, he'll be lending his services as an immortal warrior in director Breck Eisner's upcoming Summit/Lionsgate release, The Last Witch Hunter, which now has a full new trailer out since the teaser premiered in May.

SYNOPSIS:
The modern world holds many secrets, but the most astounding secret of all is that witches still live amongst us; vicious supernatural creatures intent on unleashing the Black Death upon the world. Armies of witch hunters battled the unnatural enemy across the globe for centuries, including KAULDER, a valiant warrior who managed to slay the all-powerful QUEEN WITCH, decimating her followers in the process. In the moments right before her death, the QUEEN curses KAULDER with her own immortality, forever separating him from his beloved wife and daughter in the afterlife. Today KAULDER is the only one of his kind remaining, and has spent centuries hunting down rogue witches, all the while yearning for his long-lost loved ones. However, unbeknownst to KAULDER, the QUEEN WITCH is resurrected and seeks revenge on her killer causing an epic battle that will determine the survival of the human race.

In a way, you get the sense that there is a lot more going on here in the latest trailer apart from Diesel's on-screen caliber. The tone here talks of immortality and transcending realms, and with the quandry our lead character faces in being fearless, you can tell there's a deeper message behind it, and having worked on the film while at a sensitive time in his own life, you can definitely tell that Diesel's performance comes from a deeper place other than what is in the script.

At any rate though, watching Diesel wield a sword engulfed in flames like a badass is rewarding for any action fan or Diesel fan for that matter, and we largely have action coordinator Jonathan Eusebio (John Wick, Hitman: Agent 47) to thank for that. There's tons of spectacle to be seen here and with performances by Elijah Wood, Rose Leslie and Michael Caine part of the cast, I'll be looking forward to the layers they'll be adding to the story.

October 23 is the date, so watch the brand new trailer below and witness the anarchy!
