Watch The Riveting New International Trailer For Owen Wilson Thriller, NO ESCAPE

Following the first teaser back in March for Devil and As Above, So Below helmer, writer and director John Erick Dowdle's new international thriller, No Escape, eOne has released the newest trailer which you can check out below. The film arrives on September 4 two days after its U.S. release from The Weinstein Company, and in its current form, it looks to be actor Owen Wilson's best yet, along with a grizzled and tough performance by Pierce Brosnan.

SYNOPSIS:

Jack (Owen Wilson) is a man desperate to protect his family in this intense, fast-paced action thriller that will leave you breathless.  

As he relocates his family to Asia, with wife Annie (Lake Bell) and their two young girls, Jack has no idea of the terror that lies in store. Within days of their arrival, a violent political uprising has swept through the city and the family are on the run frantically searching for safety as rebels mercilessly attack, executing all foreigners. 

With seasoned expat Hammond (Pierce Brosnan) as their only ally, time is against Jack and his family as they are viciously hunted down. Desperately attempting to survive in a country under siege, their courage is put to the ultimate test.

Chan And Wilson Set To Complete The Trilogy With SHANGHAI DAWN

Well, another day has passed and another Jackie Chan film is currently in the works, and in this instance you would be forgiven for thinking this was too good to be true. Only it isn't false, which for Chan-heads is probably not at all bad.

ComingSoon.net had forwarded news from The Tracking Board that the action legend is set to reteam with actor Owen Wilson under producer and MGM president Jonathan Glickaman for the long-awaited threequel, Shanghai Dawn. It's been twelve years since the first two left us off with Chan and Wilson in the respective roles of rogue imperial guardsman Chon Wang and former bandit Roy O'Bannon at the peak of Chan's post Hong Kong action career, and Chan's own career has been much more global and prominent in Asia since making Around The World In 80 Days and The Spy Next Door.

There aren't any solid specifics being mentioned about where the new installment may take place with regard to the plot, but seeing as how this is now official, it's only a matter of time.

Owen Wilson And Pierce Brosnan Fight Their Way Out In The New Trailer For NO ESCAPE

It's not everyday you see actor Owen Wilson in a picture this epic. Behind Enemy Lines (1999) was certainly a treat and with the virility of the latest trailer with Devil and As Above, So Below helmer, writer and director John Erick Dowdle's No Escape, it's great to see Wilson in a story as riveting as this - a father who gets chucked at the deep end overseas in Asia while trying to protect his family amid gunfire and political upheaval. And with Pierce Brosnan too? Solid.

SYNOPSIS:

An intense international thriller, NO ESCAPE centers on an American businessman (Wilson) as he and his family settle into their new home in Southeast Asia. Suddenly finding themselves in the middle of a violent political uprising, they must frantically look for a safe escape as rebels mercilessly attack the city.

Lake Bell also stars from a script co-written by Drew Dowdle and is set to release on September 2 from The Weinstein Company. Watch the trailer below.
