Michael Jai White Is Back With A Vengeance In The New Trailer For CHAIN OF COMMAND

It was late last year that action star Michael Jai White surprised everyone of his social media followers with a peculiar looking still from an unnamed film. The film, as it turned out, was Kevin Carraway's new independent action thriller, The Echo Effect, which has since taken shape through Lionsgate as Chain Of Command, and much to our delight for fans of White and co-star Steve Austin, its digital and DVD/Blu-Ray release isn't too far off.

The iconic Steve Austin (TV's "WWE Monday Night Raw") stars alongside Michael Jai White (TV's "Arrow") in the action-packed Chain of Command, arriving on Digital HD and On Demand September 8th from Lionsgate Home Entertainment.  The film will also be available on Blu-ray™ (plus Digital HD) and DVD (plus Digital) September 22nd.  Experience the pulse-pounding suspense as a military man works to expose those responsible for his brother's death in this edge-of-your-seat story of duty and revenge.  The Chain of Command Blu-ray and DVD will be available for the suggested retail price of $19.99 and $19.98, respectively. 

Special Operative James Webster (Michael Jai White) just returned home from duty, only to witness the brutal slaying of his brother. Webster immediately tries to retaliate and hunt down the perpetrators, but as he delves deeper into the secret world of corruption and murder, he finds himself at the center of a deadly conspiracy that cuts deep inside the walls of the US Government.  With the most ruthless military assassin (Steve Austin) hot on his trail, Webster must expose the corrupt high-ranking officials before he becomes just another victim of the nefarious plot.

Austin And White Wrap Indie Revenge Thriller, THE ECHO EFFECT

It was quite a mystery when actor Michael Jai White shared a peculiar photo on his own Facebook page back in December mentioning a film he was making. For what it's worth, the photo could be relevant to a recent tweet that he and his fellow Tactical Force co-star, actor Steve Austin shared this past week thanking each other for their recent work on set for a film that, again, didn't mention a title.

Fortunately, enough time passed that news started spreading a little more with mention of the new film coming soon from Grindstone Home Entertainment via Lionsgate titled The Echo Effect, with word that the film has officially finished filming in Ohio, according to Variety. Producer Terry Rindal, writer Lawrence Sara and director Kevin Carraway (7 Below) reportedly completed production on the independent action feature which sees White in the role of a special operative who comes home from his third tour of duty, only to end up at the center of a deadly conspiracy after witnessing his brother's brutal murder.

Max Ryan and Ashleigh Barnett also star with a release hopefully later this year while fans await White's expected appearance with fellow action stars Tony Jaa and Dolph Lundgren in director Ekachai Uekrongtham's latest thriller, Skin Trade sometime this year. Other updates are still pending for possible continuation for either or all of White's earlier endeavors, namely sequels to Blood And Bone and Falcon Rising, as well as a hyped return to the mat in a third Never Back Down film.
