Check Out The Trailer For Timothy Woodward Jr.'s New Crime Pic, 4GOT10

Action fans will have plenty of starpower to fawn over in Checkmate helmer, director Timothy Woodward Jr.'s latest sizzling Western crime thriller, 4Got10. Heavy hitters like Dolph Lundgren and Danny Trejo are among those listed in the cast with Michael Paré, Vivica A. Fox and lead actor Johnny Messner in a film that takes its cues from the gritty and suspenseful tones of movies like Django Unchained and Memento...meaning quite the brainteaser with some brutal fisticuffs and a few rounds to spare.

SYNOPSIS:

Brian Barnes [Johnny Messner] wakes up in the desert wounded and with no memory and no idea why he’s surrounded by eight bodies, a van with four million in cash and a van full of cocaine.  Brian is pursued by not only notorious drug lord Danny Perez [Danny Trejo] who desperately want his money back, and DEA Agent Rooker [Dolph Lundgren], but also a by the corrupt Sheriff Olson [Michael Pare] who will stop at nothing to get his hand on the new found fortune. On the run, Brian discovers the more he remembers the less he wants to know about who he really is.

Olivier Gruner Goes BEYOND THE GAME In The Latest Trailer

If you happen to be noticing a resurgence of B-movie action cinema fandom as of late, no, it's not all in your head. This is real, and there are several examples out there with titles as far back as 2010 with the release of Sylvester Stallone's The Expendables, and more and more of these films have been rolling out in some capacity ever since.

Clearly the niche hasn't disappeared long since the 90's era of B-movie action cinema glory took hold, and its clearly one that Blizhniy Boy (2007) trio, director Erken Lalgashev and writers J. Stephen Maunder and David Mitchell share a lineage in, as well as a shared interest as so expressed in their latest contribution, Beyond The Game. There aren't any plot details, but the cast itself is littered with a who's-who of action veterans with actor and martial artist Olivier Gruner as a psychologically-cracked solider in kill mode who becomes the subject of a survivalist reality show that goes all sorts of wrong, and you can pretty guess where it goes from there.

Save for its likely small-screen delivery, this one is definitely for the audience for whom it is intended. Make note of the names and faces in the trailer and behind-the-scenes featurette below and let the nostagia kick you in the face just once more!

Danny Trejo Confirms MACHETE KILLS AGAIN IN SPACE

The recent Grindhouse-revival of director Robert Rodriguez was always geared toward a specific niche with films like Death Proof and Machete. Of course, that probably didn't do any favors for Machete Kills, the 2013 sequel to the 2010 splatterfest revenge thriller starring Danny Trejo, which came short of its budget during its theatrical run.

Nevertheless, there's no need for fans to worry about whether or not there will be a third, because apparently it's happening anyway according to forwarded news from Comicbook.com via Halloween Daily News. The direct-to-video Badass trilogy star was on hand in North Carolina last weekend where he confirmed the third installation, stating, "Robert and I are going to start to do Machete Kills in Space, so that's going to be awesome. Absolutely. We're going to be working on it this year.".

Machete Kills Again In Space has its own mock trailer following the events from the second film which centered on Trejo in the title role opposite Mel Gibson to prevent the launch of a weapon in space. If you've seen the film, you'll understand what the trailer was all about. Otherwise it will all seem just as packed with gonzo spectacle, outlandish spectacle and cinematic cheese as one could expect. After all, it's all about the Grindhouse baby!

Trejo has a batch of films on the way, including Christian Sesma's The Nightcrew and K. King's Cyborg X, in addition to appearances in the second season of From Dusk Til Dawn: The Series on El Rey Network.

Outnumbered Bounty Hunters Tackle Border Cartel Thugs In The New Trailer For THE NIGHTCREW

The unyielding creative film duo that are co-scribes, director Christian Sesma and actor Paul Sloan are starting off the new year just right with their latest pairing for the upcoming action thriller, The Nightcrew. Actor and debut filmmaker as of recent, Luke Goss, leads the cast with Sloan in a story about a team of hard-up bounty hunters who apprehend a mysterious Chinese woman trying to cross the border, only to discover her deadly secrets as they fight to survive the night in a desert motel against a horde of border runners.

The script itself existed for some time prior to its application last year during three weeks of principal photography. Nowadays, Sesma's films are finally coming out of the woodwork, adding the film to a list of a few other titles for the new year, including Vigilante Diaries: The Movie, and AWOL-72. And on that note, if you're wondering at all just what The Nightcrew will look like on film, we finally have a trailer floating around online which you can check out below, brimming with its fair share of gunplay, road rage, explosions, seriously-toned acting by Jason Mewes, actress Chasty Ballesteros making nice with the business end of a pistol, and the gristled mean-mug of badass Danny Trejo. Nuff said. 

Actresses Luciana Falhaber and Jacqueline Lord, and actors Bokeem Woodbine, Roberto Sanchez, Chingo Bling, Kaleti Williams and Don Swayze round out the cast. The film will be screening this weekend on January 11 at the Alberquerque Film Festival in New Mexico before hitting a theatrical and digital release the following Tuesday, courtesy of eOne.

Zaror, Trejo And Lee Board Olmos's Fantasy Action Comedy, THE GREEN GHOST

The fallout hasn't been easy to deal with for fans since the mysterious debacle behind the stifled development of Mo' Brothers films, Timo Tjahjanto's The Night Comes For Us, and incidentally, Kimo Stamboel's One Good Thing, the latter for which Redeemer star, action maestro Marko Zaror (pictured left, right of Arnold Chon) was supposed to be filming about now. Gladly however, this is not at all hampering Zaror's career as the film could very well possibly take off once again further somewhere down the line.

In the meantime, the Chilean martial arts action star is now keeping firmly busy in Texas ahead of the upcoming production of the new comedy, The Green Ghost, from Mutt Productions. Splinter (2006) and Filly Brown (2013) helmer Michael D. Olmos is on board to direct from a script by Holy Hell (2009) scribe Rafael Antonio Ruiz, which centers on the story of Charlie, a gringo raised in the barrio with a secret family gift and destined for a journey of self-discovery that will prepare him to battle an evil Aztec servant witch for the fate of the world. The film will reunite Zaror with Machete Kills lead actor Danny Trejo, in addition to Zambo Dende co-star, actress and martial artist Michelle Charlene Lee, along with action coordinators Arnold Chon (Arena, AWOL-72) and Freddie Poole (Rope-A-Dope 2, The Sector), accompanied by numerous action actors and stunt performers. There's no word yet on who will play our heroic lead while filming is set to start next week in the town of Lockhart in Austin, Texas.

Zaror left 2014 on a pretty high note with forthcoming appearances in this summer's U.S. release of Ernesto Diaz Espinoza's revenge thriller, Redeemer, in addition to the live-action shortfilm adaptation of Latin American comic book superhero Zambo Dende, now in post-production. All I'm saying is to pay close attention to what happens next for Zaror in 2015, because I think more suprises are in store. Just going with my gut here.
