Familiar Villainy Emerges In The New Trailer For SPECTRE

To the aformentioned notion from director Sam Mendes in recent headlines discussing his departure from the Bond franchise after completing his newest contribution, Spectre, it bares wondering who else would suit to helm the next go-around. There's no news there just yet, particularly since we're four months away from Spectre's release while promotional efforts get underway and opinions still stir about the latest 007 revival featuring Daniel Craig in the title role. And judging by the latest teasers and factoids we've observed, there are still questions that need answering.

The approach here has always been largely that of a clear-cut reboot since the 2006 release of Martin Campbell's Casino Royale establishing a new timeline and framework seperate from the preceeding 20 movies, although there are clear nods to elements used in a few of the prior movies. This has left some fans of the longstanding franchise on the fence as is always the nature of remakes and reboots as of late, although clearly it's a formula that still proves viable to this day. Mendes's Skyfall became a Winter blockbuster success in late 2012, and now with Spectre on the way and MGM and Sony playing a lot of the curiousity-boiling details here close to the chest, I suppose the fact that we finally get to see actor Christoph Waltz's face for once is somewhat reassuring.

Obviously that's not the entire story of it all, but considering much of the crew that worked on Skyfall is helping to bring Spectre to life along with the added benefit of a potential classic villain, I wouldn't be too skeptical. I enjoyed Skyfall as much as I am with MGM's new take on the franchise, so I'm optimistic. In the meantime, we have a brand new trailer going around with an extended story outline at hand, so read on and enjoy the footage below. November 6, 2015 is the date!

SYNOPSIS:
A cryptic message from the past sends James Bond on a rogue mission to Mexico City and eventually Rome, where he meets Lucia Sciarra (Monica Bellucci), the beautiful and forbidden widow of an infamous criminal. Bond infiltrates a secret meeting and uncovers the existence of the sinister organisation known as SPECTRE.
Meanwhile back in London, Max Denbigh (Andrew Scott), the new head of the Centre for National Security, questions Bond’s actions and challenges the relevance of MI6, led by M (Ralph Fiennes). Bond covertly enlists Moneypenny (Naomie Harris) and Q (Ben Whishaw) to help him seek out Madeleine Swann (Léa Seydoux), the daughter of his old nemesis Mr White (Jesper Christensen), who may hold the clue to untangling the web of SPECTRE. As the daughter of an assassin, she understands Bond in a way most others cannot.
As Bond ventures towards the heart of SPECTRE, he learns of a chilling connection between himself and the enemy he seeks, played by Christoph Waltz.

More Action, Mystery, And Monica Bellucci In The New Extended TV Spot For SPECTRE!

I trust there's still plenty of mystery left to unveil even as director Sam Mendes may be still be treading on familiar ground with the latest coming James Bond spectacle, Spectre. Actor Daniel Craig is back in the role of Bond with actress Naomi Harris as Miss Moneypenny, and nothing short of the closest attention to actor Christopher Waltz in the wake of new set photos over at IGN that aren't ending the conversation on who he will REALLY play anytime soon. Nice one, Sam.

SYNOPSIS:
A cryptic message from Bond’s past sends him on a trail to uncover a sinister organisation. While M battles political forces to keep the secret service alive, Bond peels back the layers of deceit to reveal the terrible truth behind SPECTRE.
John Logan, Neal Purvis and Robert Wade wrote the script with Ben Wishaw and Ralph Fiennes also starring. Considering the commercial and global success of predecessor, Skyfall, and with the 007 franchise now possibly seeking a new home Warner Bros., Spectre will likely be one last hoorah for Sony and with any luck, the film could very well top the last one. Let's see if that happens!

Until then, here's the new extended TV spot with a little more action and an appearance by actress Monica Bellucci.

SPECTRE Emerges Online With A New Teaser!

From this day forward, there will be no shortage of hype among fans familiar with the latest renaissance of James Bond movies featuring actor Daniel Craig following the success he's had with Casino Royale reboot, Quantum Of Solace and the 2012 Winter success of Skyfall. This year, we move on to the continued start of a new beginning for the title character based on Ian Fleming's novels all with an assortment of new faces reprising classic characters for the next phase of superspy 007's globetrotting endeavors in this, the 24th feature film in the franchise, Spectre, lending its titular attribute to the '61 and '62 films, Thunderball and Dr. No.

SYNOPSIS:
A cryptic message from Bond’s past sends him on a trail to uncover a sinister organisation. While M battles political forces to keep the secret service alive, Bond peels back the layers of deceit to reveal the terrible truth behind SPECTRE.
Ultimately, we're bound to find out just how returning director Sam Mendes's take on the pin-pointed rebooting of classic elements for the new Bond movies as of late will bode with audiences critical and fond of the franchise as a whole. Nonetheless, there's no question here as to the amount of entertainment we will be in for with the scale of these movies only getting bigger and bigger with each film bringing us closer to knowing our hero just a little more before adding further layers of intrigue - This, all while keeping us at the edge of our brainseats with morsels of intrigue, espionage, beautiful femme fatales and thrilling, big scale action sequences that signify all that sustain the freshness of the Bond brand. Will there be more after this? Well, you're guess is as good as mine, but considering how long and hard people have fought to keep this franchise alive, it seems only necessary as part of our global DNA in the history of film. At any rate, this one is coming on November 6, 2015 courtesy of Sony, so prepare for a Holiday night out at the movies when this one hits stateside.

Craig is joined by Naomi Harris, Ben Wishaw and Ralph Fiennes with Christoph Waltz, Dave Bautista, Léa Seydoux, Stephanie Sigman, Monica Bellucci, Andrew Scott and Rory Kinnear, with a script by Neal Purvis, Robert Wade and John Logan.

I ONLY NEED ONE: Help Crowdfund The New Bond-Inspired Action Short

With Spectre making headway over at Sony, I wouldn't be surprised if the internet started turning out with more and more fan-inspired shorts and test fights attributed to the longstanding 007 franchise. Point in fact, Colin Emmerson's Sapphire is an example of this, and now we're onto a new crowdfunding campaign this month ahead of the hopeful shortfilm production, I Only Need One.
Action actor and stuntman Andrew J. Neis is spearheading the project on Indiegogo to advance the directorial debut of Matthew Salanoa for an inspired look into Ian Fleming's cinematic universe filled with mystery, intrigue and danger at every turn. For Salanoa's take, it goes a little something like this:
Our short, "I ONLY NEED ONE" will feature a HEROIC SPY (Neis), who wakes on a mysterious island all alone, save for an invitation to a duel. As he looks for signs of civilization, he is met with sniper fire, an axe-wielding mad man, and is ultimately led into a trap.
The trap: A funhouse designed with rotating mirrors, puppets packing heat, and flashing lights -- all to scare, disorient and trick our hero into wasting his precious six shots. All this, the work of our EVIL VILLIAN (Richard Mills), who carries a one-shot pistol made of pure gold -- the GOLD GUN
Sounds pretty neat to me, and for a project with a vision this particular size and scale, it's not going to come cheap. But, as with every crowdfunder there is, there are perks to match, so feel free to check them all out at Indiegogo with further details about the project.

Click once, it's that simple. After all, you only need one!
