Watch The Latest Trailer For Dolph Lundgren Prison Actioner, RIOT!

Nope, there's no stopping action star Dolph Lundgren lately. He wins the week after having attended the Los Angeles premiere of his latest action thriller pairing with Tony Jaa for Skin Trade, with another pending for the G.I. Film Festival premiere of the Ryan Little-directed War Pigs next week, while having signed on for the new horror thriller, Don't Kill It, which films this July.

With that in mind, you may be wondering what he'll actually be doing until then. Of course, he's promoting as per his occupation as a cinematic action hero mainstay, and his latest active film role is currently in John Lyde's new contained prison thriller, Riot, joining actor and producer Matthew Reese with retired and former light heavyweight MMA champion, actor Chuck Liddell playing a Russian crimeboss. It's what you can expect from a prison movie with all the necessary tropes, including action sequences designed by CBR Stunt Team's own Braxton McAllister, and if you're not familiar with who they are, then it would be in your best interest to click here. Because this is why I blog.

SYNOPSIS:
Copper Jack Stone purposefully orchestrates a bank robbery in order to be thrown into prison with the notorious Russian kingpin Balam.
Balam is more than just a mob criminal; he’s a very cunning and dangerous lord who controls the police force from behind bars.  Balam lives in prison as a cover for his real power, which is King of the city.  His cell is a lavish private room built specifically for him, inaccessible to most in the depths of the prison structure.  Even the warden fears venturing into his area of the prison.
However, even surrounded by his loyal henchmen and guards in his sectioned off fortress, Balam doesn’t know Jack is coming for him to avenge his family, who Balam murdered in cold blood.  Balam is tough… but Jack is tougher.
Filming completed last week and is expected to release sometime in 2016, but if this trailer below has anything to say for it, I'm certain it says we'll be in for an awesome treat. Take a look!

*A previous version of this article stated filming recently began.
