DEADPOOL Wraps!

Well, six years after playing him in X-Men: Orgins, eight months after confirming his role and just three months since principal photography began, actor Ryan Renyolds has annouced completion of director Tim Miller's forthcoming adaptation of Marvel superhero, Deadpool. Renyolds himself has largely been the sole occupant of tweets before and during production with any number of set pics and updates interacting with fans on Twitter, with particular interest in at least two young fans who got to meet the actor on set through Make-A-Wish Foundation well over a week ago.

No doubt that being the forefront of the film's active campaign has been beneficial to the production as a whole, and even actor and TV show host Mario Lopez got in on the fun earlier on. The journey to this film's existence hasn't been an easy one though, as it's taken so long to not only get production up-and-running, but to tether it to fans' wishes for an R-rating in an age where you would expect any superhero movie to be PG-13 even if the original material called for something less restrained. We have a lot to be thankful for here, and for this, we're finally much closer to the film's February 12, 2016 release. I suspect a teaser may arrive as soon as late summer or early Fall, but we'll see what happens.

SYNOPSIS:
Based upon Marvel Comics’ most unconventional anti-hero, DEADPOOL tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.
Renyolds stars from a script by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, with actors Ed Skrein and T.J. Miller, and actresses Gina Carano and Morena Baccarrin and newcomer Brianna Hildebrand also starring. Stay tuned!
