The mixed-martial arts genre saw its theatrical prominence close to a decade ago with any number of films hitting mainstream and independent audience with much fervor. Since then, it's become pretty clear that the genre still remains in demand for its niche and director and producer Bradford May is answering that call with his latest MMA drama from Skinfly Entertainment, Street.
SYNOPSIS:
Remo Street is a 23-year-old former wrestling champion spends his days job searching and with great ingenuity forces himself to train at night whenever and however he can. It seems his life long dream of becoming a professional fighter just might elude him until one fateful night when destiny takes him an entirely new direction.
While finishing one evening from a days job hunt this young man is forced to fight for his life when a chance encounter with a beautiful woman puts him in the corner of an up and coming champion, a Russian gangster and the seedy underworld of arson, gambling and bare knuckle boxing. His passion for fighting becomes a struggle to train a heartless champ and keep his family safe while he balances between the two worlds.
The film finally released a trailer back in March with actor Beau Casper Smart leading the cast and action choreography by Arnold Chon for a story that's sure to reel UFC fight fans inward. The film has already earned a few limited screenings, so hopefully this will prompt a proper rollout with a date pending. Check out the trailer!
