Stallone Announces Coogler To Helm RAMBO V

However which way progress has been made while on the set of actor Sylvester Stallone's newest film, Creed, it appears he and Fruitvale Station helmer, multi-nominated and winning director Ryan Coogler have some great rapport going. Suffice it to say that in lieu of this as the legendary action hero has been exhuberantly promoting his new instagram page on Sunday, the actor took to Twitter to annouce Coogler's role as director of the long-awaited fifth Rambo film as the writing has begun!

A fifth installation has been in the works for sometime now, following the success of the 2008 film, Rambo, the fourth film in the franchise which continued the story of its battle-hardened war commando played by Stallone. Much of everything else is a bit speculative but the film does have a synopsis as of last year courtesy of Splendid Films:
With 'Rambo V' Sylvester Stallone returns in his iconic role. This time he goes up against a Mexican cartel. Stallone, who has also written the screenplay, describes the new Rambo as his version of 'No Country for Old Men.' Like the last film, 'Rambo V' is produced by Avi Lerner ("The Expendables 1-3")
Creed, the first film to spin-off the Rocky boxing saga in nearly fifty years, arrives on November 25, 2015 with Fruitvale Station and Fantastic Four star Michael B. Jordan starring. Stay tuned for more info!
