Well, it was only a matter of time I suppose, but Tron: Legacy and Oblivion helmer Joseph Kosinski is reportedly being tapped to sit in the director's chair for a third installation of the Tron trilogy. The news comes just after Tuesday's report stating a third film was set to begin shooting this October in Vancouver.
Garrett Hedlund is likely to return to the grid once more following his role in the 2010 sequel, Tron: Legacy, which saw lead protagonist Sam Flynn get sucked into the upgraded virtual world his father, Kevin, once saved so many years earlier from ENCOM's oppressive Master Control program. Actor Jeff Bridges starred in both films with the first directed by Steven Lisberger in 1982 before returning to produce the sequel with Kosinski directing.
Stay tuned for more details!
