It was last month that Deadline broke the news of a new comedy from New Line cinema called Fist Fight. The nostalgia will run a bit high here as the film is being described as similar in tone as Phil Joanou's 1987 teen dramedy, Three O'Clock High with a script by Van Robichaux and Evan Susser, and with Richie Keen now up to direct following his work on short films and TV shows like the hit Showtime series, Shameless, things are finally coming together for cameras to begin rolling in the next two months.
Ride Along star Ice Cube and Horrible Bosses co-star Charlie Day are headlining the cast here which will see the story of a mild-mannered English teacher forced to deal with a colleague who thinks he's trying to get him fired, and ultimately threatens to fight him after school...umm...work. 21 Laps is also backing the project and a release date is pending.
