Director Tim Story's 2014 action comedy, Ride Along, felt slightly lukewarm than preferred while actor and comedian Kevin Hart helped carry the film's much-needed comedy and slapstick. Whatever the case may be, the formula worked with lead actor Ice Cube in the mix along with Lawrence Fishburne and John Leguizamo as the film became the first title of the year to hold the number one spot for three consecutive weeks.
Surely enough it set the tone for a sequel and following its announcement thereafter, Ride Along 2 is finally going viral with a new poster. The first film, starring Hart and Cube, saw the story of a tough cop who sets up a series of intentionally disatrous trials for his sister's fianceé - a fast-talking secuity guard willing to do anything to prove his worthiness. Plot info is light on this one but clearly this isn't going to be paradise for these new in-laws.
Bruce McGill and Tika Sumpter are returning with Ken Jeong, Benjamin Bratt, Olivia Munn and Sherri Shepherd rounding out the cast for the film's release on January 15, 2016 release.
