No Bows And Arrows For Amell's 'Jones' In A New TMNT 2 Set Pic!

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 comes out next year with David Green at the helm, and for what its worth, at least the fans have something to look forward to. The first film grossed well over $480 million dollars under Clash Of The Titans helmer Jonathan Libesman directing, so you can imagine there's plenty of reason to move forward with a sequel that will further expand the franchise in a new age of fandom.

Sure, its an age everyone has, and will always have an opinion on, and you can count on there being plenty, especially if you were waiting to see Arrow star, actor Stephen Amell as Turtles' ally, the sportsgear-wielding masked vigilante Casey Jones with a full head of hair. Nope, not the case here, but this is the Casey we're getting, so there's that.

There's plenty to hope for though here. I've never seen Earth To Echo, but I enjoyed the first film for the absolute cheese and spectacular no-shits-to-give levels of fun it was, and it's a Michael Bay production so I expect no less. Plus, this sequel is expected to introduce animated characters Bebop and Rocksteady, as well as actor Tyler Perry's iteration of mad scientist Dr. Baxter Stockman to accompany the impending return of The Shredder with actor Brian Tee in the mix.

It's shaping up pretty well so far, but we'll know plenty once we see the footage. Plus, it's got a great fight coordinator on hand, and I had the pleasure to meet him last month! Feel free to click here and find out how that happened, and mark your calendars for June 3, 2016!

Brian Tee To Star As 'The Shredder' In TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES 2!

Monday may have brought the laughs with actor Brian Tee staking his claim in a new Funny Or Die video made in part with Be Funny Studios. As of this week, however, he'll be bringing retribution as the iconic villiain, The Shredder in Earth To Echo helmer David Green's upcoming sequel installment, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2.

Tee's career is highlight by quite a few accomplishments, including Mortal Kombat Legacy 2 and the South Korean action hit, No Tears For The Dead, so it's nice to see him leap aboard this latest continuance succeeding last year's successful first from director Jonathan Liebesman. Variety states the actor's addition to the cast following actor Masamune Tohoru's performance in the same role last year, wherein the former will join returning cast members Megan Fox and Will Arnett as reporters April O'Neil and Vernon Fenwick, along with Arrow television series star Stephen Amell as Casey Jones and introducing actor Tyler Perry in the role of Baxter Stockman.

Other reports suggest the likely appearances of Shredder cohorts Bebop and Rocksteady, both initially created by David Wise and Peter Laird for the 1987 animated series based on Laird's original comic with fellow author Kevin Eastman. Updates are still pending on these, and who will return to play our title heroes as production continues ahead of the film's June 3, 2016 release. Tee is also set to star alongside Chris Pratt in Jurassic World this summer.

Michael Bay and his team are returning to produce Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 with a script from Andre Nemec and Josh Applebaum.

TMNT 2 Sequel, 'Half-Shell', Scores Stephen Amell For Casey Jones

Whether or not you're a fan of Paramount Pictures's and Platnum Dunes's latest iteration of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, the fact is that it's getting a sequel with the likely reprisal of actress Megan Fox in her role of April O'Neil among other new and returning faces. On that note, Variety went underway on Tuesday with a report announcing the addition of fellow Turtles' ally, New York City's masked vigilante Casey Jones for actor Stephen Amell, star of the DC Comics-based CW series, Arrow.

Earth To Echo helmer David Green is directing from a script by returning writer Josh Applebaum and Andrè Nemec with producers Michael Bay and Brad Fuller on hand. The plot is unknown and the cast isn't clear just yet regarding whether or not the actors from the first film - motion capture principles Noel Fisher, Alan Ritchson, Jeremy Howard, Pete Plozek and Danny Woodburn, and voice actors Johnny Knoxville and Tony Shahloub, will return with Fox, while it is clear that Will Arnett will be starring in addition to Victoria's Secret model Alessandra Ambrosio also making an appearance, with the possibility of other classic characters from the early animated series, including mutants Bebop and Rocksteady, and Krang.

The film has presumably started shooting under the working title, Half-Shell, for a release set for June 3, 2016. Stay tuned!
