ANT-MAN Puts His Size To Use In The First Extended TV Spot

Director Peyton Reed's latest Marvel installation, Ant-Man is already helping pave the way into the third phase of Marvel's cinematic universe with the likelihood of seeing the character re-appear via actor Paul Rudd in next year's Captain America: Civil War in some capacity. That said, time will tell how everything else falls into place, but this latest gem for fans is on deck for release in July, so the campaign continues with more posters and trailers, etc. So feel free to take a gander at the newest TV spot for the film at the bottom of the page.

SYNOPSIS:
When Marvel's "Ant-Man" hits theaters July 17, 2015, director Peyton Reed will help shepherd the hero into the Marvel Cinematic Universe with a cast led by Paul Rudd and Michael Douglas, with writer Adam McKay contributing to the film's script.
Armed with the astonishing ability to shrink in scale but increase in strength, con-man Scott Lang (Rudd) must embrace his inner-hero and help his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym (Douglas), protect the secret behind his spectacular Ant-Man suit from a new generation of towering threats. Against seemingly insurmountable obstacles, Pym and Lang must plan and pull off a heist that will save the world.

The New International Trailer For ANT-MAN Packs A Punch!

The first teaser for director Peyton Reed's latest contribution to the Marvel movie franchise, Ant-Man, was a teaser at best. Paul Rudd is in the title role opposite Corey Stoll as Yellowjacket with Michael Douglas as the man behind the creation of the title superhero which spawned initially back in the 60's.

Time will tell just how this latest installation into comic book lore will fit into the MCU with Captain America: Civil War now underway and plenty of other titles to keep things going through 2019. For now, the newest international trailer for Ant-Man is here, and whether or not size matters is entirely up to you. Check it out before its release on July 17!

Superhero Movie Updates Galore, Basically.

Thursday was a day filled with epic reveals for superhero movie news. With updates burning the netizenry and any number of them flourishing based on rumors, it gets difficult to keep up with. At least now, I've gathered what I could that I know is solid, and for those of you who have the mental stamina to keep up with this sort of thing daily, you guys and gals get all the points.

Several updates made the rounds this week with numerous set pics from the Vancouver filming of director Tim Miller's Deadpool (several of them are floating online so they shouldn't be too hard to find, including a few new ones from Yahoo! and CBM via VanCity Buzz), as well as The Lego Movie directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller's development of actor Ezra Miller's upcoming appearance in The Flash for Warner Bros., and confirmation of Anthony and Joe Russo to helm Avengers: Infinity War - Parts 1 and 2 with Thor: The Dark World and Captain America: Civil War scribes Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely to script together.

Some more film reveals included EW's first look of actor Corey Stoll as the villianous Yellowjacket in Peyton Reed's July release, Ant-Man starring Paul Rudd, as well as EW's new look at actor Jamie Bell as "The Thing" in Josh Trank's Fantastic Four reboot which arrive this August, with actor Ben Hardy's confirmation in the forthcoming release of Bryan Singer's X-Men: Apocalypse which comes next year through newly unveiled badass concept art of the actor as Archangel.

Other reveals came to light with Marvel's reveal of actor J. August Richard's new costume in the character of Deathlok for Marvel's ABC television series, Agents Of Shield, which was also announced for a new spin-off series of its own from executive producer Jeffrey Bell and series scribe Paul Zbyszewski.

Thankfully I caught up with Netflix's Daredevil as the future costume of the titular blind superhero was revealed just hours before its midnight premiere on Friday. Other than that, check out some of the photos in the album below from the aforementioned news above. Yes, I'm pretty sure I missed a few things, but they'll be included in time.

Whew!

Paul Rudd Has Issues With His Superhero Name In The New Teaser For ANT-MAN!

I've been compelled to go off the rails everytime Marvel adheres to a gimmick to sell director Peyton Reed's latest contribution to the third phase of the Marvel Universe, Ant-Man. Its pointless trailer teasers last week (Ant and "normal" sized) and the new official poster have left me shaking my head and hoping this moment would come sooner without me choking someone.

Thankfully we've now arrived here, accompanied on the eve of the two-hour premiere of Marvel's Agent Carter on ABC which finally brings the first official teaser of Ant-Man. That said, a lot of opinions have been circulating, both in support, as well as critical of whether or not this particular film was necessary while many fans have still been dealing with Marvel's non-inclusion of Spider-Man for its Avengers saga (and I've pretty much given up with catching up on Spider-Man what with all the Sony drama, so I'm just waiting until something solid knocks on my door).

In any case, Ant-Man's got his fanbase, and I'm particularly curious to see how he will help embody the third leg of the Marvel movie line-up, especially since Agent Carter's Hayley Atwell will be appearing. Comic book aficionados may have an idea about how that will all go down, so of course the rest of us will have to wait and see on July 17, 2015.
SYNOPSIS:
The next evolution of the Marvel Cinematic Universe brings a founding member of The Avengers to the big screen for the first time with Marvel Studios’ Ant-Man. Armed with the astonishing ability to shrink in scale but increase in strength, master thief Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) must embrace his inner-hero and help his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym (Michael Douglas), protect the secret behind his spectacular Ant-Man suit from a new generation of towering threats. Against seemingly insurmountable obstacles, Pym and Lang must plan and pull off a heist that will save the world.
Evangeline Lilly, Corey Stoll, Judy Greer, Bobby Cannavale, Michael Pena and John Slattery also star. Catch the footage below!

Two New Lame Trailer Teasers Are Online For AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON And ANT-MAN

Promo Art for Marvel's ANT-MAN

Trailer teasers are a pain in the ass. The first one has been out for a while now ahead of the upcoming release of Marvel's Avengers: Age Of Ultron. This one gets off a little lighter though because we've already seen a few trailers, and no doubt several more trailers and T.V. spots will be forthcoming to help set the tone being this is one of the biggest and highly anticipated sequels yet.

It's still frustrating though, but not as frustrating as the new Ant-Man trailer announcement just beneath. Seriously, I see the "meaning" behind making the screen so small to the point where even burying my face in my mobile device won't work, but frankly, this is just hilarious and stupid.

Anyway, happy new year. I love movies.

The new Marvel's Avengers: Age of Ultron trailer will air during the 2015 College Football Playoff National Championship on ESPN one week after next Tuesday's release of the new Ant-Man trailer during ABC's two hour television premiere of Agent Carter. Both films are releasing on May 1, 2015 and July 17, 2015 respectively. Check them out below, and try not to squint too hard at the last one. Oy.
